-=Conservadave’s Opinions=-
Just another WordPress.com weblog

Lately I’ve been reading blogs by left-wing individuals.  In other words, I’ve been reading the opinions of liberal nutjobs.  Specifically about the “mobs” (I’ve picked “David the Dagger” for my own mob name) that have “attacked” members of Congress at townhall meetings.  I think its kinda funneh that the conservatives are considered the mobsters and the liberals are just great people.  Here’s why I think it’s funny.

Note: this guy is censoring himself for TV, probably by request of the show.  That’s why it seems kinda awkward.

Kinda funny, in the sense that the liberals are the ones that are usually considered the “racially tolerant” ones.  But who’s the mob here?  The people protesting, or the unions and liberals attacking the protestors for daring to have an opinion of their own?!

But again, we’re here to talk about the liberal bloggers.  These people don’t seem to have any facts, just opinions.  They use phrases and terms like, “it seems to me that,” and ,”in my opinion,” yet don’t provide any real facts and figures to compliment what they’re saying.  They use pure emotion.  They love the “don’t you have a heart?” and “don’t you feel this way?” and “we have to provide for these people because its the right thing to do!”  Let me be clear, no we don’t.

For instance, one poster said that all of these other western civilized country have such wonderful socialized healthcare and because they have it so should we.  And we should have it because all of these people go uninsured and all of these people are all just so pathetic and can’t get a foot in the world without health insurance and we have to provide it for them.  I’ll tell you what, if you want to give these people health insurance, than YOU do it.  Don’t drag me into your self-sacrificial bullshit.  You have no right to what I earn and I’ll be damned if I forfeit any of it over to you without a fight.  If all of these people just have to be insured, you make an insurance company and you run it so that all of the uninsured can get insured.

You people assume that I, an individual, must provide for you.  Don’t even say that isn’t so, because that’s what socialized healthcare is.  Its one person forfeiting his wages to pay for another person’s medical care at the point of the government’s gun.  There is no way around that.  It is the confiscation of wealth and it is the destruction of the individual.  We are not our brothers’ keepers.  We have no obligation to those who are poor by no fault of our own.  We do not owe you anything, dammit!

“But we’re not moving to socialize healthcare, just make a public option!”  You think so?  There is a provision in the bill saying that if you, for whatever reason, don’t have insurance now or if for some reason you lose your current insurance (losing your job or the insurance company going bankrupt), than you cannot rejoin the private sector.  You will be forced to join the government bill and you will get the same insurance as everyone else.  Then, once everyone’s on the same bill, the government will start deciding who to pay for, because the prices are going to be enormous.  After all, our healthcare market is about 1/6 of the economy.  When the government takes over 1/6 of the economy, they will start realizing that they can’t just throw out money for blood tests.  After all, you may not be sick at all and the blood test might not be cost efficient.  For example, you cannot get a simple blood test in Canada by a public sector doctor in any kind of time.  I saw a video where they would have to wait up to 6 years for a blood test unless they went to a private clinic where they would have to pay $900 for a blood test (but no worries, if your dog needs a blood test, he can still get one for about $10 because they aren’t part of the public system).

Also, they say, the only people who will be hurt by this is the rich.  Wrong.  There isn’t enough wealth at the top of the food chain to pay for everyone’s healthcare.  They already pay confiscatory sums to the federal government every year.  Added on to that tax is the state taxes.  Then there are local taxes.  All in all, the majority of their income gets confiscated by the government already.  Then we’ll all have to pay and the only people who will benefit from this program will be those that don’t have anything and those that are so rich that they’ll still be able to get private healthcare.  You think there won’t be some super rich people like Bill Gates and Oprah and all of the government officials who won’t have to wait at the back of the line like you and me for their cat-scans?  Think again.

The fact of the matter is that a public option will destroy us.  The private sector right now isn’t the cause of so much strife, like the liberals would have you believe.  The only things making the private sector health insurance so damned expensive at the moment are 1.) trial lawyers who sue if a doctor doesn’t do a test that is usually unnecessary (mal-practice insurace is sky-high for doctors and hospitals), 2.) illegal immigrants using the law to benefit them (they use the ER, which can’t turn anyone away, for simple problems they could go to a normal doctor for; they don’t pay the tab afterwards, after all, who can prove they even exist?) which causes the price of care to go up, causing the price of insurance to go up, and 3.) medicare and medicaid which both pay pennies on the dollar, which causes care to go up (they have to be able to make some profit or at least come out even) which causes insurance to go up.  That’s why our health care system is where it’s actually at.

And what about those greedy companies?  We often forget that companies aren’t computers but people who have families.  People who have worked really hard to do what they do.  People who need some kind of money to survive and earn it through their hard work.  The insurance companies aren’t some abstract thought you can just attack at will, the insurance companies are providers of jobs.  Health insurance companies are entities that have people, like you and me, trying to work their way up in the world to someday maybe live comfortably and not have to worry about their bills as much as they did last year.  That has been the one malicious lie that hits me the hardest because they are demonizing people not for stealing money by way of pointing a gun at them, but providing a service for people who decide its worth something.

That is the trajedy of this debate.  We have informed, intelligent people providing facts and figures debating people who fight back saying “what right do the rich have to their money when other people need it!” from their cozy five-bedroom houses.  Its the hypocritical looting rich who steal their money from those who have earned it by running a business we should be fighting, not those men and women trying to make money by providing a service to others.

Fight the tyranny of the looters.  Fight for liberty.

I think we all feel wonderful that we’re past a period of racial prejudice. I love the fact that we have a Mexican-American Supreme Court justice. Okay, okay. So she’s not Mexican-American, but Latinas are Latinas, right??

Anyway, it was kinda obvious this was gonna happen. At least we didn’t have an extremely partisan group of senators trying to filibuster the nominee because they didn’t agree with her… like the Democrats promised to do in 2006.

That’s what someone seriously said on a post about Obama’s popularity.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?  Numbers are numbers, facts are facts, truth is truth.  This, boys and girls, is what we call “relativism”.  These people are like the pony-tail wearing loser in Good Will Hunting in the bar scene.

Relativism is the school of thought that “evil is relative to what we perceive as evil.”  The same is true about good – there is no such thing as “good”, because that’s just a word.

This theory is so basic and so ridiculously wrong that a high-school student can figure it out.  I have formulated my own theory: the ultimate evil, and where all evil stems from, is slavery.  The belief that man has dominion other another man, be it by way of actual slavery, where a man is shackled to do work for their master in a cotton field, or by the force of intimidation and coercion of the government, pointing the gun at man who decides that his labor is his own and not the property of another – these are the roots of evil.

Therefore, if all slavery is evil, then all freedom is good.  However, there is a need to protect that freedom – hence why we need a government.  The government is put in place not to provide for us by taking money from others, thereby enslaving them to us.  The government is here to protect us, plain and simple, from evil forces domestic and foreign.

However, it has been seen lately that when the government does infact protect us from forces domestic and foreign, the children of those who have built this safe-guard around us attack that government, decrying it as evil.  In order for our government to be evil, it would have to permit man to have dominion over man – which it does not!

I may write something on this later, but I just saw the relativist slop and had to say SOMETHING.

The point of the story, boys and girls, is that numbers are numbers, and numbers represent physical, tangible things.  Real things.  Things we can touch.  They are only manipulated by those who want to manipulate them, and to be honest, CNN isn’t a news company that is trying to destroy the Obama administration (CNN released the poll).  What would they have to gain from the report?

How do you like THEM apples?

I’ve never taken the time to sit and watch MSNBC.  I can now say that I have – I just watched a bit of MNSBC News Live.  David Shumer is one of the anchors on the program and I am not impressed.  I mean sure, he has an awesome first name – but that doesn’t count for much.

First off, I don’t like how he looks.  He looks like one of my cousins living in the mountains of West Virginia.  I’m not saying he looks like a hick, because my cousin doesn’t, but my cousin was a little bit of a douche to me as far as I can remember when I was growing up there.  He has that look of playful evil, like he would be someone who could look you in the face, smile, and rip your throat out.  And is it any suprise that that’s exactly what he was doing as I watched the pathetic show?  I think not.

I changed it at about 3:30p.m. central to MSNBC and they were talking about their favorite spittle target – Sarah Palin.  They had plenty of spiteful little comments to hurl at her.  One of which was that she was stupid because she disagrees with the notion of Global Warming, or Climate Change, or Earth’s Heating-Uppage, or whatever they’re calling it now.

The main reason for bringing this up was her criticism of cap and trade, where she said that cap and trade would destroy the economy, which it probably will.  However, they discredited this comment by saying that she didn’t use the words “Global Warming” or “Climate Change” and saying in essence she’s an ignorant hick who doesn’t know anything because she doesn’t believe in Global Warming.

Global Warming was proposed after the earth had cooled for about 40 years in the 70’s, which scientists had said had happened because since the invention of cars, carbon dioxide and other fumes from our cars were blocking out the sun’s rays, making the earth cooler.  They predicted another ice age because of it.  Then, a lone scientist noticed a trend of upward climbing temperatures.  This scientist was a professor at a university where he taught his students of his findings.  One student loved it – claiming it was amazing being on the inside of this amazing scientific find.  This student was Al Gore, vice president to Bill Jefferson Clinton and vice presidential hopeful after his serving as VP.

One problem with this theory that we were the cause of it is that earth heating and cooling cycles are cyclical.  Candler Willis, guest columnist of BlueRidgeNow.com writes that “The “recent” climatic record is: 600 to 200 BC — pre-Roman cold period; 200 BC to 600 AD — Roman warming; 600 to 900AD — Dark Ages cold period; 900 to 1300 — medieval warming; 1300 to 1850 — Little Ice Age; 1850 to present — warming.”  This record shows that we are in a cyclical period of heating.  However, in these larger timeframes of heating and cooling there are mini periods of heating and cooling of about 40 years.  The earth is about to start cooling again.  Its going to start VERY soon.   The rhetoric has already been changed to “Climate Change” in preparation for this.  What’s more, there isn’t a scientific consensus: there’s a Supreme Court ruling.  A ruling by a group of people who don’t have scientific degrees, yet decide that something exists because they have the power to.

Candler Willis’s article

Sarah Palin isn’t an idiot for being hesitant on man-made “Climate Change”, she’s smarter than your average Alaskan bear.  The real idiots in the room are the folks on MSNBC – you hear me David Shumer?  You’re a flippin’ idiot.  The anchors then went on to say that Sarah Palin was an idiot because she wasn’t with the mainstream of America on this issue.  Excuse me?  Since when has science and fact been decided by majority opinion?  A majority of America could decide that Brawndo makes plants grow faster than because its got what plants crave (electrolytes!), that doesn’t make it fact (but I ain’t never seen plants grow outta no toilet).

So what do they finish the segment on?  Well after commenting on the fact that she doesn’t have to fish for a living (yes, they actually said that), they say that if there’s not enough evidence in the statistics, global trends as presented by Al Gore, and the Supreme Court decision (which there isn’t) then she should just look out off her front porch of the hillbilly shack she lives in and look at the ice-caps melting.

David Shumer, you’re pathetic.  Your show is pathetic.  Your pseudo-intellectualism is appalling, and you make me sick.  Do us all a favor and leave the industry.

So why are they doing this?  They’re afraid of her.  Duh.  Sarah Palin is a very severe threat to the progressive thought process.  She’s attractive, she’s intelligent, she’s an independent woman, she is compassionate (Trig), she’s accepting of her daughter who had a child out of marriage, and she is very very very popular.  While I may not think she should run for the Presidential office just yet, she should definitely think about getting a radio or tv show and writing a book (which I think I heard something about recently).  We need someone in the office right now who can fix the economy and rebuild our military and someone who can run against Barack Obama and win.  This’ll require lots of charisma and lots of quick-witted lines.   Mike Huckabee would be a good choice and so would Mitt Romney.  Romney is the undisputed economic genius of our party at the moment and Huckabee is so charismatic he has his own T.V. show on the weekends… or even Michael Steele!  That dude’s hillarious and smart… but that’s a few years off still.  We’ll see… just please, God don’t let it be Bobby Jindall.  The dude can’t keep even my attention and I’m a political junkie.

After watching about 5 minutes of this I changed the channel back to Neil Cavuto.  Gotta love Neil.  And then Glen Beck came on… I changed the channel.  Don’t really care to see what stupidity he presents on the show today or what jokes he plagiarizes off of Mark Levin’s show today.

Time to listen to the Boneyard and get ready to go golfin.  w00t!

I’m starting to notice these guys more and more. First was Glenn Beck stealing Mark Levin’s joke of slipping in the joke of Hebrew National hot dogs at the 4th of July party the Obama’s were gonna throw A’jad. Then Roger Hedgecock. WTF mate? Why can’t these guys come up with their own Hebrew National jokes? If you can’t come up with your own material to be funny or entertaining, you don’t have any business being on air. Seriously, Beck and Hedgecock, GET YOUR OWN DAMN MATERIAL!!!

Okay, this is my first post and I decided that its gonna be about the game that I most recently bought – Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR for short). I know, this is a primarily conservative political blog, but I decided to start with just some gaming stuffzrz.

I was super excited when I heard about the new MMO’s coming out because I was extremely bored with WoW (World of Warcraft). I had my shaman leveled up to 70, did some raiding, did some PvP, but was overall bored with the endgame experience. So, AoC came out. I wasn’t too excited about it – but was happy that there was some healthy competition for Blizzard – but Blizzard, even though they had people leaving their game for a new one, still didn’t release any amazing new content, just the new island (which just made the daily-grind more easy). So, underwhelmed, I quit paying the fee. I’m not sad I did. So, AoC came out and some people left WoW, I didn’t buy it though. I didn’t have the hardware necessary. I am running a mediocre machine at best on my laptop and my desktop needs a new CPU REAALLLLLLLY bad – thats gonna be the next upgrade, btw :) – so I couldn’t play it even if the idea of playing a Conan game without being the man himself (Ahnold of course) was appealing to me, which it isn’t.

So I played nothing – except Guild Wars (its a fun game every now and then, just gets old real fast : /) and various Half Life 2 mods. And then I realized Warhammer Online was coming out. I was pumped – here’s a game that will catch my attention, keep it, and have some promising features. Man, I was right with that assumption. I’ve had the game since Monday, and I’m super-hooked.

I have 3 main characters – on the side of Order (obviously the good guys) I have a Empire (human) Warrior Priest and I have a High Elf Shadow Warrior. I will tell you guys about these two first.

Warrior Priest – wow what a blast to play. He starts out with a 2 handed hammer, basic armor, one attack, and one healing spell. Of course, as you can probably guess, as you progress you get more skills and equipment. The starting area for the Empire is amazing. It reminded me instantly of Fable. I expected the NPC’s to call me a “Chicken Chaser” every time they talked to me. I got the occasional “What smells?” but most of the time I got asked if I was “Here about there war?”. This brings up a huge effect the game has on you. Every little thing you do – be it quests, public quests (which I’ll get to in a few), or RvR (the game’s PvP mechanic) – gives you the feeling that you’re sticking it to the enemy, in this case it would be the Chaos (corrupted humans). You fight Chaos npc’s, you destroy ballistic weapons, and you use your own ballistic weapons against these guys. When you finish quests, you contribute to the war effort which is located in the top right of the screen (it shows the two factions and a bar – whoever has the majority of the bar highlighted in their color has control of the region and gains extra experience and renown experience (which is like PvP experience). This class requires a delicate balance of fighting and healing. You fight to get your righteous fury up and you use your righteous fury to use your strongest healing spells. Its very difficult to master and I still haven’t done so at level 10. Whats next? Oh, Public Quests.

Public Quests are just what the title suggests – quests that are done in public. They start when you walk into an area – and if its already been started, you start where the other players are in the PQ. When you finish the quest you get experience and influence (which when full allows you to get 3 items from a dealer – usually a potion, a lesser piece of armor or something else, and a greater piece of armor or a weapon. At the end of the PQ’s there is a chest roll. The top contributors get points added to their roll score. This prevents the people who wandered in just for the boss from getting the best loot. The loot that drops is always character specific too so that if you’re a Warrior Priest you’re NOT going to get some useless Witch Hunter loot.

Okay, next character was the Shadow Warrior. This was your basic long-ranged arching class. Nothing really special about this class. Its kinda like a hunter from WoW that can hold its own in hand to hand combat. The starting area is kinda boring until you get farther along in it and do your first PQ, which involves fighting a massive hydra (which is super hard to beat). The class was fun, but no “WHOA” factor for me.

The last character I made was my favorite – the Goblin Shaman.

This character is hillarious – he’s tiny and he’s got worms. I’m serious. He has worms. He runs around in circles and rubs his butt on the ground like a dog who has worms. He also has horrible grammar. Like “‘Ello you li’l git, whachoo want?” or “Feel me wraff!!” and he farts. So, the charm of the character is great. The starting area puts you against the dwarfs and its also amazing. You feel like your fighting the dwarfs the whole time. You get catapulted on top of a dwarven fortress and have to fight them while you’re up there. They’re not very… intelligent either. And they’re a bit buggy. But my Milhousenobama is definitely my favorite character by far. He spits, he farts, and he has worms while shooting people with green WAAAGH! magic and healing the mess out of his tank (the Black Ork). The public quest here has to do with killing a bunch of ugly little beasts called squigs who run around this giant’s feet and bugging him and then getting him drunk so he can aid you in your fight against the dwarves. I’m not gonna ruin the ending of the quest for ya because it’s a really good ending.

this is my shaman :)

On a serious note: there was a little kid who got in trouble for having a pencil sharpener in school. I know I said this wasn’t going to be political, but I just heard about this while writing my first impressions of my new game.

He was in school and he had one of those personal pencil sharpeners on his desk. You know, the one you put around your pencil and turn it around your pencil and the razor in it shaves the pencil so your pencil gets sharpened? One of those. The teacher saw the razor blade in it and reported it to the principle. Bogus right? Of course the principle would not worry about this, using reason to fire this stupid teacher right? Nope, wrong. This principle called in the kid’s parents, the kid, and the teacher into his office. The kid did nothing wrong. The kid was apparently balling because he thought he was in horrible trouble. He was suspended from school. When is this ridiculousness going to stop? When are we going to stop this bull crap in our schools? Our school systems are corrupt – all of the teachers and school board members are pushing agendas and they need to be de-throned. When they indoctrinate and abuse authority like they are, the people have not a right, but a responsibility, to act and take them out. These are government officials. Government schools are ruining our youth. And whats worse? How about “Age specific sexual education”? Barack Obama wants to implement this idea into schools everywhere. This would involve even kindergardeners. Obama says that he wants to protect kids from sexual predators, but how can you say that after looking at the syllabus? “Boys and girls both have parts on their bodies that feels good when you touch them.” “There are internal and external sexual organs – internal like the testicles and vagina and external like nipples and the penis.” This is on the kindergarden syllabus for sexual education  pushed by none other than Barack Milhouse Nobama. So, with his election, we can be sure that kids are going to be told that there is no God and that will be reinforced to no end, that everything Right is wrong, that little kids are going to be told that sex feels amazing, and that the indoctrination and destruction of America’s youth will go unmonitored and even supported and enforced. When will the madness stop?

See you next week! (Go McCain/Palin 2008!!!!)
